Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM 120 mm Case Fan, Brown

The Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM is a 120 mm fan engineered for low-noise operation in PC chassis, on heatsinks, and with liquid cooling radiators. As a Low-Speed Pulse-Width Modulation (LS-PWM) model, it is optimized for quiet performance under typical loads with a maximum rotational speed of 1200 RPM. The fan connects via a standard 4-pin header, allowing motherboard software or dedicated controllers to regulate its speed based on system temperatures. This design makes it well-suited for semi-passive cooling systems where near-silent operation is a primary requirement.

The fan's impeller is constructed from Noctua's Sterrox® liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) and features a tight 0.5 mm tip clearance to the frame. This design improves aerodynamic efficiency by reducing air turbulence and pressure leakage at the blade tips. It utilizes an SSO2 self-stabilizing oil-pressure bearing, which contributes to its operational stability and longevity. The package also includes anti-vibration mounts and a Low-Noise Adaptor to further reduce acoustic output and mitigate the transfer of vibrations to the PC case.
