The Fractal Design Torrent is a mid-tower chassis engineered for high-volume airflow. Its design features an open, stylized front grille and a top-mounted power supply layout, which clears the case floor for an unobstructed intake path. This configuration supports a bottom-to-top cooling dynamic, utilizing five pre-installed PWM fans. Two 180 mm fans are located at the front for mass air intake, while three 140 mm fans are positioned at the bottom. The case is constructed with a steel frame and includes a tempered glass side panel.

This chassis accommodates a wide range of hardware, with support for motherboards from ITX up to E-ATX and SSI-EEB formats. It provides substantial clearances for large components, including CPU air coolers up to 188 mm in height and ATX power supplies up to 230 mm in length. The front panel I/O offers contemporary connectivity with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port. For storage, the case includes dedicated mounting brackets for two 3.5-inch drives and four 2.5-inch drives.
