The Synology DiskStation DS2422+ is a 12-bay NAS for small and medium-sized businesses. It accommodates up to 12 SATA drives (2.5-inch or 3.5-inch HDDs and SSDs). The unit is sold diskless, allowing users to configure storage capacity as needed. An AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core processor handles data management and multitasking, while 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory ensures system stability through error correction. The maximum internal storage capacity is 108 TB, designed for centralized file storage. Integrated RAID support—including levels 0, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD—offers various data redundancy options.

Connectivity includes four Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting link aggregation and failover. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow for the connection of external peripherals or secondary storage.
