DEWALT DCD996P2-QW 18V XRP Brushless Hammer Drill Kit

The DeWalt 18V XRP Brushless Hammer Drill Kit is a cordless hammer drill for drilling and screwdriving in wood, metal and masonry. It runs on an 18V battery platform, keeping it independent of a mains lead. Maximum torque is rated at 95 N·m for higher-load drilling and fastening work. Maximum drilling diameter is 55 mm in wood, 15 mm in steel and 13 mm in concrete. This capacity covers larger timber bores as well as metal and masonry drilling tasks.

At 2.1 kg including the battery, the drill has a soft-grip body intended to support controlled handling. The keyless chuck accepts 1.5–13 mm bits, so changes require no separate chuck key. A three-speed transmission and variable-speed control allow the rotation rate to be matched to drilling or driving. An integrated LED lights the immediate work area. Power comes from removable 5.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, with two batteries and a charger supplied. An auxiliary handle and a carrying case are also included for two-handed control and storage.
