The DEWALT 18V XR Brushless Cordless Collated Drywall Screwdriver is a battery-powered fastening system for repeated plasterboard screw installation. It is designed for screwdriving rather than drilling, making its role more specialised than a conventional drill driver. An 18 V supply feeds the brushless motor, which reaches an idle speed of up to 4,400 RPM. Maximum torque is rated at 30 N⋅m, adjustable to suit the fastening application. The collated format supports consecutive screw placement during drylining, drywall installation, renovation, and construction work.

At 2.1 kg, the screwdriver combines a pistol-grip handle, soft-grip surfaces, and a compact form intended for overhead or confined work. Its 6.35 mm, 1/4-inch hex drive accepts matching screwdriver bits and uses a quick-release system for changes. Adjustable speed gives direct control over fastening, while the built-in LED illuminates the working area. Two 18 V 5.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries and a charger are included, allowing one battery to be swapped for the other.
