Makita DDF453SYE 18V LXT Cordless Drill/Driver Kit with 2 x 1.5Ah Batteries

The Makita 18V LXT Cordless Drill/Driver Kit is a battery-powered drill/driver for general drilling and screwdriving in construction, renovation, installation and home-improvement work. It runs on an 18 V lithium-ion battery system, so it does not need a mains lead. Maximum torque is 42 N·m for hard applications. For softer applications, the rated maximum torque is 27 N·m. Maximum drilling diameter is 36 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel.

At 1.8 kg, the drill has a pistol-grip format with rubberised soft-grip surfaces. The keyless chuck accepts bits from 1.5 to 13 mm and can be adjusted by hand. Two gears and adjustable speed give separate control for slower driving and faster drilling. Two removable 1.5 Ah batteries are supplied, so one can be swapped for the other. A charger and a carrying case are also included.
