The Makita 18V LXT Cordless Drill Body Only is designed for drilling and screwdriving in wood, metal, and general construction materials. It runs on Makita's 18V LXT cordless battery platform. Maximum torque reaches 62 N⋅m in hard applications and 36 N⋅m in soft applications. Drilling capacity is rated at up to 38 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel. These ratings cover common fastening tasks as well as larger holes in timber.

At 1.5 kg without a battery, the drill's working weight depends on the battery fitted. The pistol-grip design includes a soft-grip handle for more secure handling during extended jobs.
