The Makita 18V LXT Brushless Cordless Drywall Screwdriver is a battery-powered tool designed for fitting drywall screws. It runs on an 18 V battery platform and delivers up to 11 N·m of torque. The motor reaches a no-load speed of 4,000 RPM, supporting repeated fastening across plasterboard installations. A depth-adjustment mechanism helps drive screws consistently without leaving the heads proud or overdriven. Its operation is limited to screwdriving, making it more specialised than a general-purpose drill.

At 1.8 kg, the screwdriver has a defined working weight, and the soft-grip handle supports extended fitting tasks.
