The Makita 18 V Cordless Hammer Drill and Screwdriver is a battery-powered drill for drilling, fastening, and hammer drilling in masonry and other hard materials. Its 18 V power supply places it within Makita's 18 V battery system. Maximum torque is rated at 48 Nm for drilling and screwdriving work. Maximum drilling capacities are 36 mm in wood, 13 mm in steel, and 13 mm in concrete. It is suited to assembly, installation, renovation, and general construction work.

The drill weighs 1.7 kg without a battery and 2 kg with one fitted. The working weight varies with the battery used. The pistol-grip body has a soft-grip handle. The keyless chuck accepts 1.5–13 mm accessories. Variable speed allows the drilling rate to be matched to the application. The removable lithium-ion battery is not supplied, and a compatible Makita 18 V battery and charger are both required. No carrying case is included.
