Makita DHR243RTJ 18V LXT Brushless SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer

The Makita 18V LXT SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer is a cordless drill intended for concrete, masonry, wood and metal. Its 18 V battery allows use where mains power is unavailable or inconvenient. A maximum impact energy of 2 J handles drilling into concrete and masonry. Maximum drilling diameters are 27 mm in wood, 13 mm in steel and 24 mm in concrete. These capacities cover installation, renovation and general construction work in common building materials.

The rotary hammer weighs 3.7 kg and combines vibration-isolated construction with a soft-grip handle for control during longer tasks. Its SDS-Plus chuck accepts compatible drill bits and chisels. Adjustable speed and reverse give better control when starting holes or withdrawing the bit. A built-in LED lights the work area in confined or poorly lit spaces. The kit includes two removable 5.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a MakPac carrying case, so batteries can be swapped on site.
