This Makita DSP601ZJU plunge-cut circular saw is designed for professional woodworking. It runs on two 18V LXT Li-ion batteries for a combined 36V operating voltage, driving a brushless motor. The saw achieves a 56 mm cutting depth at 90° and 40 mm at 45°, making it suited to wood, MDF, and laminate. No-load speed is adjustable from 2,500 to 6,300 RPM, letting the operator match the cutting rate to the material. As a body-only tool, no battery or charger is supplied.

Weighing 4,400 g with an overall length of 346 mm, the saw is practical for both bench and on-site work. The bevel mechanism allows angled cuts up to 48° for joinery applications beyond standard cross-cuts. A soft-start function brings the motor up to operating speed gradually, reducing sudden torque at trigger pull.
