The Makita DSS501Z LXT 18V Cordless Circular Saw Body Only is a cordless circular saw designed for portable wood cutting, carpentry, and renovation work. It cuts up to 51 mm deep at 90° and 35 mm deep at 45°, handling wood and board materials. Powered by an 18V Li-ion battery on the Makita LXT platform, it reaches a maximum no-load speed of 3,600 RPM. This is a body-only version, meaning the battery and charger are not included and must be sourced separately. It is intended for users who already own compatible Makita 18V LXT batteries.

The saw ships with a carbide-tipped blade with a 20 mm bore fitted, so it is ready to cut once paired with a battery. Weighing approximately 2,700 g with an overall length of 364 mm, its compact dimensions suit confined spaces and overhead work. Bevel adjustment allows angled cuts up to 50° for mitre joints and chamfered edges. A dust extraction port connects to an external system, and a dust blower keeps the cut line visible during operation.
