DEWALT Extreme Universal Sanding Mesh is a set of abrasive mesh sheets for sanding and surface preparation. The 80-grit abrasive face is intended for material removal and for preparing a surface before the finishing stage. This is replaceable sanding media rather than a powered sanding machine, so operating speed is determined by the compatible tool. The 80-grit specification provides the key selection point when matching the abrasive to the required stage of work. Its role is to cut back surfaces and ready them for subsequent finishing.

The open mesh structure allows sanding dust to pass through the sheet instead of remaining on the abrasive surface. This helps reduce clogging and supports consistent performance during longer sanding sessions. The media can be washed and reused after use.
