The Makita HM1203C 1510 W SDS-MAX Demolition Hammer is a corded breaker intended for heavy-duty chiselling and material removal. Its rated impact energy is 19.1 J per blow. This output is specified for breaking and removing concrete, masonry, stone, and other hard construction materials. An SDS-MAX chuck with a 12 mm tool holder determines which chisels are compatible. The dedicated chiselling format is intended for intensive demolition and renovation work rather than general-purpose drilling.
Chiselling vibration is rated at 15.5 m/s², which is worth considering during prolonged use. An auxiliary handle provides an additional holding point when controlling the breaker under load. Multiple chisel positions let the working angle be adjusted to suit the surface and the access available. A carrying case is supplied for storage and transport between work areas. Constant-speed electronics are designed to maintain consistent operation when the demolition hammer is working under load.
Key Features:- 9.7 kg operating weight places the breaker in the heavier class for sustained demolition work.
- 950–1,900 IPM adjustable impact rate supports different materials and chiselling tasks.
- 4 m power cord provides working reach from a mains outlet.
- 101.3 dB sound power and 93 dB sound pressure, with 1.72 dB uncertainty.
- Sliding switch supports continuous operation without holding the trigger.
- Service indicator provides a maintenance prompt for the carbon brushes.
