The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid XP4 is a dual-band mesh Wi-Fi system operating under the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. This mesh node utilizes both wireless and Powerline (HomePlug AV 2.0) technologies to establish the network backhaul connection between units. This hybrid approach allows for stable network extension across buildings, minimizing signal loss caused by physical obstacles like thick internal walls. The system delivers combined wireless speeds up to 1800 Mbit/s, distributed across the 2.4 GHz band (up to 600 Mbit/s) and the 5 GHz band (up to 1200 Mbit/s).

Each unit includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, supporting both WAN and LAN connections, providing high-speed access for wired clients. Connectivity options also include one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port for external storage sharing across the network. The internal hardware features a single-core 1200 MHz processor, supported by 512 MB of internal memory and 256 MB of flash storage. Network stability and coverage are enhanced through MU-MIMO and Beamforming technology, while security protocols like WPA3-Personal, an integrated firewall, and comprehensive VPN support maintain network integrity.
