MikroTik CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ - Ethernet router, Silver

The MikroTik CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ Cloud Core Router, running RouterOS L6, is an Ethernet routing platform designed for data centres and service-provider networks. The unit supports wired connections only, with LAN data rates of 1,000, 25,000, and 100,000 Mbit/s. It uses hardware-assisted Layer 3 forwarding to process network traffic, reducing reliance on software. The device connects to aggregation switches and uplinks to maintain high bandwidth throughput. The router requires a standard AC power source for continuous operation and does not support Power over Ethernet.

The rack-mountable enclosure is designed for server cabinets. The router includes a single Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, used primarily for auxiliary connectivity or local management. Administrators configure the hardware via a web interface. An integrated firewall controls incoming and outgoing traffic. The built-in DHCP server automates IP address assignment for connected clients, and the device uses the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to manage routing between autonomous systems. With an IP20 rating, the unit is intended for dry, indoor use only.
