The GARDENA THS 42/18V P4A Telescopic Cordless Hedge Trimmer with Battery and Charger is intended for routine maintenance of tall and wide domestic hedges. Its 420 mm double-sided blade has 16 mm tooth spacing and a rated maximum branch thickness of 16 mm. The cutting length covers a broad section on each pass, while the branch capacity suits regular shaping and maintenance. Battery power avoids managing a mains cable when moving along fence lines or around shrubs.

At 3.4 kg with the battery fitted, the trimmer's weight matters when working above shoulder height. The adjustable ergonomic handle supports a controlled grip as the cutting position changes. Its rechargeable system pairs an 18 V battery with 2.5 Ah capacity and provides up to 100 minutes of stated operation. One battery and a charger are supplied with the tool.
