The Makita 18 V LXT cordless SDS-Plus rotary hammer is a battery-powered drill for professional drilling, hammer drilling and light chiselling. Its 18 V supply provides cordless mobility for construction, installation, renovation and maintenance work. Maximum impact energy is rated at 2 J for concrete and masonry applications. Maximum drilling diameters are 27 mm in wood, 13 mm in steel and 24 mm in concrete. These capacities span conventional wood and steel drilling as well as work in concrete.

At 4.9 kg including the battery, the drill has an auxiliary handle to support two-handed control. An SDS-Plus holder accepts hammer-drilling accessories, while the supplied quick-change 13 mm chuck supports conventional drilling bits. Variable-speed control and reverse rotation provide finer control during drilling and screwdriving. An integrated LED illuminates the immediate work area in poorly lit locations. Two removable 5.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries are included alongside the charger, reducing interruption when a charged spare is available. The Makpac carrying case keeps the drill and supplied components together between jobs.
