The Garmin Varia RCT716 Bike Radar with Camera and Rear Light is a rear-facing cycling safety device for traffic awareness, ride recording, and cyclist visibility. It combines vehicle-detection radar, a camera, and a rear light in one unit. The radar detects approaching vehicles from up to 140 metres behind. Traffic alerts can be sent to a compatible Garmin device or smartphone, reducing the need to look back repeatedly. Its integrated rechargeable battery provides up to five hours of operation. An IPX7 rating protects the device against rain and temporary immersion.

The black unit measures 106.5 × 42 × 31.9 mm and weighs 147 g. No integrated display is included, so information is presented through a compatible Garmin device or smartphone. The camera records video at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second. Footage can be saved automatically when the device detects an incident. Recorded data can also be viewed on a smartphone.
