The MikroTik hAP ax³ (C53UiG+5HPaxD2HPaxD) is a dual-band router designed for home or small office networks. It uses the 802.11ax standard to provide wireless data transfer rates of 1200 Mbit/s at 5 GHz and 574 Mbit/s at 2.4 GHz. As the unit does not have a SIM card slot, it requires a fixed broadband connection. A 2.5 Gbit/s network interface is available for high-capacity WAN links. MU-MIMO and OFDMA support allow the router to handle multiple connected devices simultaneously, maintaining consistent throughput in busy environments.

Two external, detachable 5.5 dBi antennas connect via RP-SMA ports. The router features four Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired devices and network storage. It supports WPA3 security and hardware IPsec encryption to protect local traffic. Administrators can use built-in VPN support for IPsec and WireGuard protocols for remote access. A USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port allows for the connection of a compatible 3G/4G modem as an internet fallback. The housing can be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop, and the device can be powered via a standard DC connection or Power over Ethernet (PoE).
