The TP-Link Deco X50-5G AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Gateway uses a 5G modem to convert Sub-6 GHz signals into a local network. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with a maximum wireless transfer rate of 3,000 Mbit/s. As a mesh system, it can connect with compatible nodes to extend coverage throughout a building. Because it uses cellular data, no fixed-line internet connection is required. This setup provides bandwidth suitable for streaming and file transfers.

The device uses a Nano-SIM card to connect to a mobile network. For wired connections, it includes three RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting speeds of 1,000 and 2,500 Mbit/s. Designed for desktop use, the unit must be plugged into mains power as it has no internal battery. Users can manage traffic through the interface, which includes Quality of Service (QoS) controls to prioritise bandwidth during periods of high network load.
