The StarTech.com TB310G2 Thunderbolt 3 to 10GbE Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Adapter connects Thunderbolt 3 or 4-equipped PCs and laptops to wired networks. It bridges a computer's Thunderbolt port to an RJ-45 connection to deliver data transfer speeds up to 10,000 Mbit/s. This external adapter uses 10GBase-T copper cabling for high-bandwidth networking. As this device is designed strictly for wired links, it does not support Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It allows users to add multi-gigabit Ethernet capabilities to a workstation without requiring an internal PCIe slot.

The portable aluminium housing includes an integrated 0.7-meter cable. Inside the unit, a Marvell AQC107S chipset manages the network connection across supported platforms. The adapter is plug-and-play, with native support for Windows 10 and 11, and macOS versions 10.15 through 13.0. Link and activity LED indicators provide visual feedback on the network status. The device also supports Wake-on-LAN, allowing IT administrators to remotely wake connected computers.
