The Fractal Design Ridge is a small form factor case with a 12.6-liter volume, designed for Mini-ITX systems. Its slim profile and steel construction allow for either vertical or horizontal placement to suit various environments. The design prioritizes accessibility, with all external panels being removable for direct access to internal components during assembly. The front I/O panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a combo audio jack. A subtle white LED bar serves as the power indicator.

Internally, the case accommodates a 3-slot graphics card using the included PCIe 4.0 riser card. The primary cooling configuration consists of two pre-installed 140 mm PWM fans mounted on the side panel, with additional support for three 80 mm fans at the top. For liquid cooling, the side bracket can hold a radiator up to 280 mm. The layout provides a maximum CPU cooler height of 70 mm and is compatible with SFX or SFX-L power supplies. Storage options consist of dedicated mounts for up to four 2.5-inch drives.
