The ASUSTOR AS5402T is a 2-bay tower NAS designed for centralized data management in homes and small offices. It uses an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor with base and burst frequencies of 2 GHz and 2.9 GHz, respectively. The system includes 4 GB of DDR4 memory, expandable to 16 GB via two SO-DIMM slots. Two hot-swappable bays accommodate 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and SSDs. A single 70 mm fan provides cooling and maintains a noise level of 18.6 dB during operation. The system uses a 65 W power adapter and has a typical power consumption of 22.9 W.

The unit is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and supports file systems including Btrfs, EXT4, and NTFS. Security features include AES 256-bit encryption and access control lists for granular user permissions. Integrated software supports iSCSI/IP-SAN and multiple backup protocols such as Rsync, FTP, and SMB. Administrators can configure and monitor the system via a web-based interface.
