The Cisco Catalyst 9200CX-8UXG-2X-E 8-Port UPoE Compact Managed Switch (L2/L3) manages connectivity and traffic in enterprise networks. It features eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports to connect and power edge devices. This Layer 2/Layer 3 switch provides a total switching capacity of 128 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 95.23 Mpps, with 10G support for uplink connections to core infrastructure.

The device is housed in a compact, 1U rack-mountable chassis suitable for space-constrained wiring closets. It provides a 240 W total Power over Ethernet (PoE) budget to power hardware such as IP cameras and wireless access points. Administrators can manage network traffic using access control lists (ACLs) and Quality of Service (QoS) protocols. Built-in multicast handling and IGMP snooping manage video traffic, while integrated 256-bit AES encryption secures data transmission.
