The HyperX Cloud III is a wired, over-ear gaming headset constructed with an aluminum frame. It is equipped with 53 mm dynamic drivers angled to direct sound into the ear canal, operating within a closed-back acoustic system for passive noise isolation. This headset supports DTS Headphone:X spatial audio, which generates a three-dimensional sound environment for improved positional awareness in games. Memory foam and leatherette materials are used on the earcups and headband to provide comfort during extended use sessions.

Communication is handled by a detachable, unidirectional boom microphone that features noise-cancellation to filter background sounds. An integrated LED indicator gives visual confirmation when the microphone is muted, and on-device controls allow for direct adjustment of volume.
