The SwitchBot Hub 2 Matter Smart Home Hub is an indoor gateway for smart home automation and environmental monitoring. It centralises SwitchBot products and infrared-controlled appliances within a single control point. An infrared learning and decoding function brings compatible televisions, air conditioners, and similar equipment into app-based routines. The integrated temperature sensor is rated to an accuracy of ±0.2 °C. Separate humidity and ambient-light sensing provide a broader view of indoor conditions.

The rectangular housing uses white ABS for both its structure and exterior. Its LCD presents current environmental readings and measurement trends. Automatic brightness adjustment changes display visibility in response to surrounding light. Two physical smart buttons provide direct triggers for scenes or automation routines. Power comes from a mains connection via USB-C, so batteries are neither required nor used. The unit can sit on a surface or be wall-mounted, allowing flexible indoor placement.
