The Sony DualSense Wireless Controller for PlayStation 5 (Midnight Black) is designed for the PlayStation 5. It uses dual actuators instead of traditional rumble motors to provide tactile feedback, simulating physical sensations to reflect in-game environments. Adaptive triggers provide varying levels of force and tension when you interact with objects in supported games, mimicking the resistance felt when pulling a bowstring or braking in a vehicle. This is the primary controller for navigation and gameplay.

The controller features an integrated accelerometer and gyroscope for motion controls, as well as a built-in microphone and speaker for voice chat and audio cues. You can connect it to the console via Bluetooth or a wired USB-C connection. A central touchpad offers an additional way to navigate menus and in-game maps. The Midnight Black version features the standard layout, including dual analog thumbsticks and shoulder triggers. Setup is managed through the PlayStation 5 system interface.
