Makita, DPB183Z, 18V Battery, 835 mm Band Saw

The Makita DPB183Z 18V LXT Brushless Cordless Band Saw (Body Only) is designed for cutting metal pipes, profiles, and similar stock. It delivers a 66 mm cutting depth at 90°, which covers most routine metalworking tasks. The saw runs on an 18V lithium-ion battery from the Makita 18V LXT system, giving installers the freedom to work without mains power. A brushless motor drives the blade, keeping maintenance to a minimum. As this is a body-only version, no battery or charger is included; users need to supply their own compatible Makita 18V LXT power source.

The saw comes with an 835 mm bi-metal blade, so cutting can start straight away. Blade speed is adjustable up to 3.2 m/s, letting the operator match the cutting rate to the workpiece. At 3,900 g, the saw is light enough to carry comfortably while still rigid enough for straight cuts. An overall length of 392 mm keeps it compact enough to work in tight spaces. The black and blue housing follows Makita's standard colour scheme for easy site identification.
