The MAKITA HS004GZ01 is a cordless circular saw designed for professional construction, carpentry, and framing work in wood and sheet materials. It runs on the 40V max XGT lithium-ion battery platform, with a brushless motor driving a 190 mm blade at up to 6,000 rpm. Cutting depth reaches 62.5 mm at 90° and 41 mm at 45°, covering standard framing lumber and sheet goods in a single pass. A bevel adjustment allows angled cuts up to 48° for mitre joints and bevelled edges. An Efficut blade is supplied fitted, so cutting can begin once a compatible battery is attached.

The magnesium base plate keeps the total weight to 4.7 kg without compromising rigidity. A soft-grip handle and soft-start function reduce fatigue and startup kick during repeated cuts. The integrated LED light illuminates the cut line, while the dust extraction port connects to a vacuum for debris management. Overload protection and a spindle lock support safe blade changes and controlled operation under load. No battery or charger is included, so a compatible 40V max XGT battery and charger must be acquired separately.
