The Glorious GMMK 2 is a barebone keyboard platform, allowing users to install their preferred switches and keycaps. It features a compact 96% layout that integrates a full numeric keypad while reducing overall width compared to a standard full-size board. The universal hot-swap sockets accommodate both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, enabling solder-free customization. Its chassis is constructed with a CNC-machined aluminum top frame and a polymer bottom case for stability and a weight of 1250 grams. This model is built to a standard ISO physical layout.

The keyboard connects via a detachable 1.83-meter braided USB-C cable for a secure, wired connection. It offers extensive programmability through compatibility with open-source QMK and VIA firmware, alongside the proprietary Glorious CORE software for user-friendly configuration. Onboard memory allows for storing custom profiles directly on the device. Per-key RGB backlighting is fully adjustable for color and effects. Essential gaming features such as full N-Key Rollover (NKRO) and anti-ghosting are also included.
