The Aqara Curtain Driver E1 (Rod Version) automates rod-mounted curtains. It uses a Zigbee 3.0 connection to communicate within a smart home network. The device can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app and integrates with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT, and Matter. It also supports voice control through compatible digital assistants.

Housed in a white casing, this module is for indoor use only. The motor handles curtains weighing up to 12 kilograms. A built-in light sensor detects ambient brightness, allowing the device to adjust curtains based on natural light levels. Measuring 96 by 44 by 140.5 millimetres, the unit attaches directly to the curtain rod. It is compatible with other Aqara systems for managing window treatments.
