The Einhell GC-RS 2540 Electric Garden Shredder processes branches, hedge trimmings, perennial cuttings and other garden debris. Its corded electric motor draws 2,000 W from the mains supply. The shredder is intended for domestic outdoor garden maintenance, including preparing material for disposal or composting. The drum cutting system pulls waste into the machine as it shreds, reducing the need to feed material in by hand. It accepts branches up to 40 mm in diameter, along with suitable softer garden cuttings.

At 24.85 kg, the shredder is built around a stable wheeled chassis rather than a handheld format. Two transport wheels and an integrated carrying handle help with moving it between working and storage areas. A reverse switch allows the drum direction to be changed when clearing blockages. The motor circuit breaker provides overload protection during operation. A restart safeguard prevents unintended operation after an interruption.
