Fiskars SAFE-T Splitting Wedge, 260 millimetres

The Fiskars SAFE-T Splitting Wedge is designed for splitting wood and preparing firewood. As a manual tool, it requires no power and is always ready for use. You drive the wedge into a cut to force large logs apart; its shape converts downward striking force into lateral pressure to separate stubborn wood. This simple mechanical approach is well-suited for home use and preparing fuel for the winter.

The body of the tool is made from forged steel to withstand high-impact strikes. The striking end features a shock-absorbing polyamide (PA) surface, which reduces vibration transmitted to the user's hands and minimizes physical strain during repetitive work. These construction details improve stability and comfort when handling heavy logs, and the tool is built to withstand repeated strikes without the striking face deforming.
