The Bosch UniversalDrill 18V Cordless Drill/Driver with 1.5 Ah Battery, Charger and Case is a rechargeable drill for household assembly, maintenance and general DIY work. Its 18 V battery removes the need for a mains cable during use. Maximum torque reaches 40 N·m in hard applications, while the rated maximum torque for softer applications is 23 N·m. Maximum drilling diameter is 30 mm in wood and 10 mm in steel, covering routine screwdriving and drilling in common wood and metal workpieces.

The drill weighs 1.2 kg, which matters when working for longer periods or above shoulder height. Its pistol-grip form provides a conventional hand position for drilling and screwdriving. A hand-tightened keyless chuck accepts bits up to 10 mm without a chuck key. The integrated LED work light illuminates the immediate working area. Two gears and adjustable electronic speed control allow the operating speed to be matched to drilling or controlled screwdriving. One 1.5 Ah lithium-ion battery, a charger and a carrying case are supplied.
