The HUAWEI 4G CPE 3 is a desktop cellular gateway for homes or small offices. It connects to mobile networks and shares the internet via Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Using LTE Category 7 technology, it offers download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s. It is backward compatible with 3G UMTS, ensuring connectivity in areas with intermittent 4G coverage. Local wireless distribution uses dual-band Wi-Fi 5, with peak speeds of 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band.

The device is housed in a 230g white chassis designed for desktop use. Internal antennas manage signal reception, and an SMA port is provided for an external antenna. Connections include a Nano-SIM slot, one RJ45 Ethernet LAN port, and an Ethernet WAN port for wired broadband. You configure the device via a web interface. Front-facing LEDs indicate signal strength and internet status. The unit requires the included 12 V / 1 A power adapter, as it has no internal battery.
