PolarPro 4x5.65 ND64 6-Stop Neutral Density Filter

The PolarPro 4x5.65 ND64 6-Stop Filter is a neutral-density camera filter for cinema matte boxes fitted with 4x5.65-inch filter slots. Its ND64 rating reduces the light reaching the camera sensor by six stops. This reduction supports exposure control when filming in bright conditions, allowing a wider aperture to be retained where a shallower depth of field is required. Slower shutter speeds can also be used to introduce controlled motion blur. The filter is specified to maintain accurate colour and image sharpness while reducing incoming light.

Optical glass forms the filter element, with an aluminium Armor frame surrounding it for handling during production. The frame provides a rigid housing suited to repeated use in filmmaking and video setups. Its format is intended for matte-box installation rather than direct attachment to a threaded camera lens. The filter can be used for outdoor shoots and other productions where ambient light would otherwise limit aperture or shutter choices. The aluminium surround is designed to protect the glass from handling damage while moving between production setups.
