The TP-Link EAP680 is a Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for ceiling or wall mounting in high-density environments. This dual-band device offers a combined wireless throughput of 5952 Mbit/s, with data rates reaching 4804 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 1148 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. Eight internal omni-directional antennas distribute the signal to support up to 512 concurrent devices, while MU-MIMO and beamforming allow for efficient communication with multiple clients simultaneously.

The unit connects via a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port that supports 802.3at PoE+. Network management is handled through either a web-based interface or the Omada SDN platform for centralized administration. Security options include WPA3-Enterprise and Personal standards, alongside tagged VLAN support for network segmentation. Quality of Service (QoS) and bandwidth controls allow for precise traffic prioritisation for connected users. A physical reset button on the housing allows for a manual factory reset.
