The NZXT F280 RGB Core is a 280 mm fan assembly that integrates two 140 mm fans into a single, unified frame. This uni-body design is intended to simplify installation and cable management for system builders compared to using individual fans. It is designed for use as a chassis intake or exhaust fan and fits standard 280 mm mounting points. The unit connects via a single 8-pin cable that splits into standard 4-pin PWM and 5V addressable RGB headers for compatibility with most motherboards and controllers. The frame is constructed from plastic and includes rubber contact points to help dampen operational vibration.

This fan assembly operates on a PWM-controlled speed range of 500 to 2000 RPM, allowing for automatic fan speed adjustments based on system temperatures. At its maximum speed, the unit is rated to move up to 98.61 CFM of air and generate 3.2 mmH2O of static pressure, making it suitable for moving air through case interiors with some obstruction. A fluid dynamic bearing is used to reduce operational noise and support long-term reliability.
