The D-Link DWP-1010/KT 5G Outdoor Kit combines an outdoor 5G modem and an indoor Wi-Fi 6 (AX) router for locations without fixed-line internet access. It uses 5G NR Sub-6 GHz for the primary connection, with 4G LTE fallback if the 5G signal is unavailable. The indoor unit broadcasts a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) network, providing wireless data rates up to 600 Mbit/s, sufficient for streaming, remote work, and multiple device connections.

The modem unit features five internal antennas for cellular signal reception and a slot for a MicroSIM card. Its housing is designed for pole or wall mounting to maintain a line of sight with the cell tower. A single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable handles power and data transmission between the outdoor modem and the indoor router. The indoor unit includes two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for wired hardware connections.
