The TP-Link Archer BE400 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) router engineered for high-bandwidth home or office environments. It utilizes both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, achieving a combined maximum wireless data transfer rate of 6500 Mbit/s. The 5 GHz band provides transfer speeds up to 2882 Mbit/s, leveraging advanced 4096-QAM modulation for increased data density and throughput efficiency. This hardware configuration is intended to maintain stable connections during demanding concurrent activities, such as 4K/8K streaming and online gaming.

Wired connectivity includes dedicated high-speed interfaces to manage multi-gigabit internet service and local transfers. The router is equipped with one 2.5 Gigabit WAN port, one 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, and two additional 1 Gigabit LAN ports. Internally, a quad-core processor manages network traffic and prioritizes data flow using Quality of Service (QoS) features. Signal coverage is managed by six external antennas, supporting both Beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies to optimize output toward connected devices.

Security features include WPA3 encryption, an integrated SPI firewall, and TP-Link HomeShield security services. The BE400 also offers comprehensive VPN support, featuring clients and servers for OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, and WireGuard protocols. The device supports local file sharing via an integrated USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port.
