The TP-Link Tapo C501GW Outdoor Pan/Tilt 4G LTE Camera is designed for areas without standard Wi-Fi access. Instead of a wireless network, it requires a wired Ethernet connection or a 4G LTE NanoSIM. The camera records 1080p footage at 30 frames per second using a 2-megapixel CMOS sensor. Integrated infrared and white LEDs provide night vision up to 30 metres. The turret design offers a 122-degree diagonal field of view, which can be extended using the camera's motorised pan and tilt functions.

Featuring a metal housing and an IP66 weatherproofing rating, the camera operates in temperatures between -30 and 60°C. It is intended for wall mounting and is powered via PoE or a standard 12V DC input. Its detection system identifies people, vehicles, and pets to reduce false alerts while tracking motion and line-crossing events. Users can control the lens remotely—panning 340 degrees and tilting between 60 and 130 degrees—to follow movement. The unit supports cloud management and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
