The CORSAIR FRAME 4000D RS is a mid-tower chassis engineered for modularity and broad component compatibility. It accommodates motherboard form factors up to E-ATX, including models with reverse-side connectors for streamlined cable management. A primary feature is the InfiniRail system, which provides slidable tracks for flexible fan positioning. This allows for precise alignment of cooling components relative to the system's hardware layout. The design also incorporates a GPU anti-sag arm to support larger graphics cards.

Thermal performance is addressed through extensive cooling options and a high-airflow design. The case comes with three pre-installed RS120 fans and supports a total of ten 120mm fans or multiple large radiators, including 360mm units at the front and top. The chassis is constructed from steel with a tempered glass side panel for a clear view of the internal components.
