The Fractal Design Meshify 3 XL is a full-tower chassis engineered for high-volume airflow and extensive component support. Its design is centered around a mesh front panel that facilitates direct air intake to internal components. The spacious interior accommodates a wide range of motherboard form factors, including E-ATX, SSI-EEB, and standard ATX, making it suitable for complex workstation or gaming configurations. The case is constructed primarily from industrial steel, providing structural rigidity for large-scale builds.

Cooling configurations are highly flexible, with mounts for large radiators up to 420 mm in the top and 360 mm in the front and side. The chassis provides ample clearance for tall CPU air coolers and long power supplies. A light-tinted tempered glass side panel offers a view of the internal hardware. Integrated cable management features, including multiple routing points and hook-and-loop straps, assist in creating an organized build with unobstructed airflow paths.
