The Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE is an air-based CPU cooling unit designed for compatibility with current mainstream Intel and AMD processor sockets. Its primary thermal mechanism relies on a compact aluminium fin stack paired with four 6 mm copper heat pipes. This configuration is intended to efficiently transfer heat away from the CPU contact surface, enabling stable thermal management under load. The overall structure measures 148 mm in height, minimizing potential chassis interference while delivering necessary thermal dissipation capacity.

Cooling airflow is generated by a single 120 mm fan utilizing an S-FDB bearing for stable operation across its range. The fan supports PWM control and operates within a rotational speed range of 0 to 1550 RPM, managing noise output. At maximum speed, the fan moves 66.17 CFM of airflow and produces a sound output measured at 25.6 dB. The black finish and integrated ARGB illumination provide visual customization for the system build.
