The MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax is a ceiling-mounted access point featuring Wi-Fi 6 and mobile broadband connectivity. It functions as both an access point and an LTE Cat 12 router, suitable for locations lacking fixed wired internet. The device operates on dual bands with a combined data rate of 1774 Mbit/s: 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 1200 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. Mobile connectivity is provided via an integrated modem and a SIM card slot for 3G and 4G networks. It includes MU-MIMO and beamforming for efficient communication with multiple devices.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity, supporting either Ethernet WAN or local device connections. The unit is powered via a DC jack or PoE-in and supports PoE-out to supply power to peripheral hardware. Security features include WPA3-PSK and WPA3-EAP encryption, alongside IPsec and WireGuard VPN support. Management via RouterOS v7 provides VLAN tagging, bandwidth control, and an integrated firewall.
