The Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 (UX7) Cloud Gateway is a routing, security, and wireless access device for local networks. This gateway handles core networking tasks, including DHCP server management and OSPF routing. Connectivity is provided via Ethernet WAN and LAN links alongside a tri-band wireless interface operating on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies. Wireless performance reaches a maximum transfer rate of 5700 Mbit/s using the Wi-Fi 7 standard. For wired connections, the device supports Ethernet data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s. It is powered via an AC source and does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE), requiring connection to a standard wall outlet.

The desktop device is housed in a polycarbonate enclosure designed for surface placement. Administrators configure the system through web-based or cloud-managed interfaces within the UniFi ecosystem. A built-in firewall filters traffic to protect connected clients, while network segmentation and traffic prioritization are managed via IEEE 802.1Q VLAN and Quality of Service (QoS) protocols. Two RJ45 ports handle physical networking, and a built-in display provides status updates. The device also includes Bluetooth for local deployment and initial provisioning.
