The MERCUSYS ME60X AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 range extender expands wireless coverage by receiving and re-broadcasting an existing signal. Using the 802.11ax standard, it provides a combined theoretical throughput of 1,500 Mbps. Its dual-band design manages traffic across both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. Data-intensive tasks, such as high-definition streaming, run on the 1,201 Mbps 5 GHz band, while lighter tasks and general browsing use the 300 Mbps available on the 2.4 GHz band. The device is designed for indoor use to help overcome signal degradation caused by walls and other structural obstructions.

The unit features two external antennas to improve signal reception and transmission stability. A Gigabit Ethernet port allows the extender to act as a bridge for wired devices such as gaming consoles or desktop PCs. A WPS button simplifies installation, enabling a secure connection to the router without complex setup. The device is EasyMesh compatible, allowing it to join a unified network with other compliant hardware. It supports WPA, WPA2, and WPA3-PSK security protocols. LED indicators on the front provide status updates, and firmware can be updated to improve performance.
