The Ubiquiti UniFi Device Bridge (UDB) is a bridge and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) adapter that connects wired equipment to a wireless UniFi network. Using a 5 GHz radio, the device converts wireless signals for use via its Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port. It provides up to 15W of PoE power to a connected endpoint through the network cable. The port supports data transfer speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s. This unit allows for the installation of PoE devices in locations where running dedicated Ethernet cabling is not feasible.
Housed in polycarbonate, the unit is designed for fixed, wall-mounted installations. It requires a UniFi system for setup and management. Blue LEDs indicate wireless signal strength, and a separate status LED shows the current operational mode. A physical button allows for manual factory resets. Measuring 130 mm in width and 55 mm in depth, the unit is small enough to be mounted behind peripheral equipment. The RJ45 port connects one Ethernet-based client device to the wireless network.
