The TP-Link Omada EAP653 UR is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for ceiling or wall mounting in high-density environments. It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, delivering a combined wireless data rate of 2976 Mbit/s, with up to 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. The unit uses 1024-QAM modulation and HE160 channel support to increase bandwidth on compatible connections. Internal antennas provide coverage for up to 185 square metres, and the device supports up to 250 concurrent clients, making it suitable for busy workspaces or public venues.

Network connectivity is provided by a single Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port. The unit is powered via PoE+, though it also accepts 12V DC or 48V passive PoE for installation flexibility. You can manage the system through the Omada SDN platform, a standalone web interface, or SSH. Security options include WPA3, WPA2, and WPA-Personal/Enterprise. Administrative tools, such as VLAN tagging and bandwidth control, allow for granular traffic management. A reset button is located on the chassis.
